Q: Is OrangeHen.com a collection agency?

A: No. We are a private company that buys winning court judgments and collects on them.

Q: How much will you pay me for my Court Judgment?

A: Each court judgment is different. Once we receive your copy of the judgment and additional information we then can make an assessment of the value of your judgment.

Q: How do I get started if I want to sell you my Court Ordered Judgment?

A: First you need to email ClientServices@OrangeHen.com or contact us by phone at 1-866-628-4417 and provide your name, number and details concerning your judgment, including; a copy of the plaintiffs claim, a copy of the judgment and any application or supporting documents you have. Someone then will contact you back if we are interested to further assess your judgment.

Q: Will it cost me any money to have you assess my judgment?

A: There is no cost for having us view your judgment.

Q: How long does it take for OrangeHen.com to value my assessment of my court order judgment?

A: Usually you will be notified in a few days. Thus, is the importance of providing all the details of your judgment to us so that we do not need to contact you to request more information.

Q: After you buy my judgment do I need to further assist you?

A: Once we pay you cash for your judgment it is now our responsibility to collect the funds. Prior to accepting your judgment we would make sure we have all the necessary information that we would need.

Q: If you buy my judgment, when will you pay me? Before or after the payments have been collected?

A: Once we assess your court order judgment and decide to purchase it, we will pay you cash right away.

Q: How old can a judgment be for you to purchase it from me?

A: As long as your judgment is still valid we will be interested into looking at your judgment and make a decision. The length of a judgment varies by jurisdiction, but most are valid up to 20 years and can be renewed.

Q: The defendant that I have sued has moved and I do not know the new location? Will you still buy my judgment?

A: We have the knowledge and experience on how the court systems work. We make it our business in knowing the ins and outs on finding defendants who are doing everything to avoid paying the money judgment or settlement they owe.

Q: What size of judgments will you purchase?

A: We consider any judgments between one thousand dollars and one million dollars.

Q: What if I have a judgment against someone but I can not find a copy of the judgment?

A: You may go to the Court and request a copy. It may cost you a small fee to have them photocopy your judgment.

Q: I have multiple judgments against different people/companies. Will you buy them all?

A: Contact our office and provide us with the information on all your judgments for our staff to review and evaluate. We then will determine which judgments we would like to purchase from you.

Q: If you purchase my judgment, will my name still be associated with the judgment or court case?

A: In order for us to purchase your judgment, a mutual agreement/contract would be signed by both you and OrangeHen.com. This agreement will state that you have sold us the judgment and that you are no longer the "owner" of the judgment. However, this agreement/contract will not remove your name from the original court case that you had started with the defendant.

Q: What is a default judgment?

A: A Court Judgment is an Order from a Court which states that a certain person or company (called the Judgment Debtor) must pay to another person or company (called the Judgment Creditor) a specific amount of money. When a Court Judgment is issued by a Court, the Court records the judgment on a paper document stamped by the Court. This paper document is proof that the Judgment Debtor does, in fact, owe the Judgment Creditor the amount of money ordered by the Court.

Q: What documents should I send you so that you can assess my judgment?

A: Document list to send us:

  • Plaintiff's Claim
  • Include a two sentence summary that state the facts that led up to this lawsuit
  • Provide details of the defendants full name, address and employment and any aliases
  • If the defendant is a company the full company name, address and include the company number corporation if necessary
  • Application they completed - if any
  • Personal property
  • Any payments they have made or promised to make
  • Copies of excerpts for legislation that pertain to your claim
  • Pictures or videos of proof
  • Notice of Default
